Have a look on ebay for an Atheros Mini-PCI WiFi card - I think the one I used was an AR5006. These are 802.11 A/B/G and work well.

For antennas, look for a pair of the 'flag' style ones (again on ebay). These are the ones with the postage-stamp size bit of flexible circuit board on the end of the cable.

These fit nicely in the CF28, they wedge in the tops of the plastic covers at either side of the palm rest. The wires just thread through straight to the wifi board, everything is done via the bottom cover & you don't even need a screwdriver. The cables are probably way too long, just neatly coil the excess somewhere.

You can probably get both the board and antennas for somewhere around $25.

    Hope this helps,
    Robert.

Yay! Hmm wonder if I would be able to drill a hole in the side and mount an external antenna on the side?

It's possible, you would need a lead with an rp-sma socket so you could add a conventional antenna.

I would strongly suggest trying it with the internal antennas first, just make sure you have the antenna section well into the plastic covers, as far from metal as possible. The solid ground part of the 'flag' can be against metalwork, it's just the side with the antenna track that should be clear.
