I'm looking for a cheap tablet to use for monitoring my solar and other power equipment
With the A1 being so cheap on ebay I can't resist trying, I figured I would ask here first though.
Really, any cheaply priced, decent shape Panny Android would do the job! I didn't realize there were so many!

It is a piece of garbage, I have had several of them to my never ending despair. Android 3.1, it sucks.

I'm actually looking at a bunch of different Tough Android units, now. I had *no idea* there were so many, and with updated features! Even older units will do what I need them to. You're right about 3.1/before 5.0. Even then, I still use a note 3 with 5.1 and many apps won't install anymore bc OS is too old
The last time I looked or saw Tough Android devices, this A1 was brand new tech and $2000+ -
It really is awful, I had high hopes for it then I bought one, it was a nightmare with apps as most would not install. I have used Android 6 and it was awful to, Android 4 was great. Now I have a Samsung 2019 8' tab A running Android 9 and it is flawless.

Well.....we'll see what we see!

Much better, should be Android 8.1 and that's certainly cheap enough. 1/10 of new msrp.

Sounds good. They are cheap. I don't have chargers. I think they gps too.
Call me tomorrow or email me later.
Thanks

Problem is the charger is just for that tablet,if you get one make sure to root it and then it works better.
I wouldn't mind one to try to root and play with, but I am in SE Asia with a herd of kids = poor. Lol.
