From an old post: DFHR3445ZA - Heat Dissipation Rubber
Does anyone have any for sale. Need 8.
Otherwise I'll break down and call Panny.
Thanks,
Jeff

Ya know... I bought some heat dissipation sheets that I was going to try. They aren't as thick but certainly cheaper. They are about 1/3 the thickness... I was going to try cutting and stacking and then checking the levels to see if they would work or be a +/- thing temp-wise. Might be worth a shot... You should be able to get those at your local PC shop!
They make them for the big CPUs and usually come 3-4 in a kit... So you could theoretically make lots out of one kit...

Oink oink.
Actually I am guinea pigging something right now. I wasn't going to say anything until I had success.
I've got thermos and cpu monitors on all three (2 Mark 3, 1 Mark 4). It's interesting and sometimes scary to watch the heat spike up with heavy cpu use. The most interesting thing to me is how much the cpu sits at 600 Mhz.
This one I'm on...a Mark 3 (old Frank) runs the coolest and has a two stage cpu. It's either 600Mhz or 1.4Ghz. I thought the Mark 4 would start higher but it runs 600Mhz,1.0 Ghz and 1.6Ghz. Interesting.
Those pads I would like to have are a fall back if my "system" doesn't work. I'll let you know what I am using if I am successful. I wouldn't want to lead someone astray and have them fry their only box.
Do you have a part number for the brown colored shtuff that fits across two gizmos on the MB. Another thermal pad of some kind.
More later. (company arrived)

which programs are you using to monitor temps, I've used cputhermometer and have searched for some others and found one from this forum, but am interested to see what you think would be a good app to use. have also noticed temp changes with useage and really would like to get more info as to where to get that info in other apps I could "live monitor" or real time info.... thanks, Driller

Driller,
Linux Mint "computertemp", "hddtemp" and "cpu frequency scaling monitor". Two icons in lower panel running live. thermometer is switchable between hdd and cpu.
