Title says it all![]()
Does anybody have a CF-WFP192R finger print reader for the mk5 for sale?
needs to be an orignal part.

can I assume you found a way to activate it in the BIOS ?
-
True that! You need to activate it in the BIOS.
That is something I can do but you would need to ship it to us though.
Thanks! -

thanks, Blair!
can you order one for me, for my 19mk4 ? it's the same P/N, CF-WFP192 (you gave me that number from Heartlands, last year when I got the CF-30 covers from you). -

No problem , I can order you one but I would PM Alec about it first to see what kind of job it was to install it. I know there was a whole bunch of small parts to the kit
. Let me know by PM what you want to do...I think the price is around $160.00 + shipping but will check.

I'm more concerned for the software side of it - having Authentec close their website, after Apple bought them for Iphone 5S FPR.
I've installed the Protector Suite 2012 in W7 in the C1 and it works, but the advanced features, like special finger for lock-out, one swipe for boot & win login, etc are not available, because it says it's not the full license version.
going back to the FPR kit for the 19, I remember studying the tutorial here on NBR, with the pictures & stuff, and it seems pretty straightforward.
I had my share of Toughbook disassembly work with the C1 first (for upgrading the 1st DIMM slot - complete to pieces) and installing
Techtuff Sirf4 GPS on the CF-30.
I'll PM you with the address. Thanks
