Do you still need this? I just realized that my cf29 is an mk4. I would be happy to copy the recovery disks and mail 'em out to you.

Just came across this thread...Mr Doobi, do you still have those recovery disk copies available? I am happy to pay for your media and postage if you do. I just realized I have a MK 5 recovery set with a Mk 4 machine!
    Thanks!!

Have you tried loading those disks on your MK 4? They are supposed to be compatible between the MK4 and MK5.

Are you sure you have a MK4 ? What's the model number?

And also the original OS has to match the recovery disks so that may be your problem if different.

    Model #: CF29LTPSxxx

    "L" series is MK 4

XP Pro SP2 was the orig OS (I believe)

Recovery discs are the set "MK5-XP2M-TSW"

I could always just throw a generic version of XP Pro SP2 on it and pull the drivers from Panasonic support, too, right?

Marc... Yes... You can get the drivers straight from Panasonic too.... It just takes longer to load everything manually...

Can we please not speak of "copying software" on the forum? This is a VERY touchy subject and can get people in trouble. Please confine remarks of this nature to PMs or off the forum site or the thread will be closed.

Mr. T, thanks for the info. My bad about using the "C" word, I'll avoid that going forward. As I dig more into your little forum here, I'm finding *ALL* kinds of info that I never even knew existed about the CF29 series, so thanks to you and the other VIPs here that contribute this valuable info! Just about everything I need to get this CF29 of mine up and running is just a mouse click or three away, and who needs recovery discs?
    Thanks again
    Marc S.
