    WTB touch screen for a CF-18

    I need to replace the touch screen on my CF-18 it stopped working all of a sudden in mid session. Please let me know if you have one and the price please.

    This is a VERY complicated thing to replace and shouldn't be attempted by a novice. You have to split the panels.

    Jeff has a little more insight on this. I HIGHLY recommend that you send the unit to Jeff to fix! (Sadlmkr)

    I'm about to replace the touch panel in mine (CF-18) and will post some pictures regarding how to do it if you want them.

    Oh, and contact forum member RuggedSolutions to see if he still has any remaining touchpanel kits.

    please post the pictures. I am pretty sure I am able to do this according to Jeff but I am just a little apprehensive.

    I did it last night, and there's nothing terribly complicated about it... It just requires soft hands at times.

    I'll make a thread later tonight with the pics, my pictures are too large to upload and i can't access flickr here to link them.

    The panels are the same its the controller PCB thats different. I have interchanged panels without problems.
