I'm tired of the useless floppy, I dont even know if you can buy them anymore, I am looking for a CD/DVD caddy for a CF-29, unless its got a DVD burner in it I'm only interested in the caddy.

    Thanks for reading, Steve

Don't toss it out, they do come in handy for other things. One example is your Mk1 can't boot from usb, you can boot from usb with the floppy and using PLOP.

You do understand you will need to do the mod to the caddyif you are planning on putting in some other drive in it...yes. Just checking :D I don't think you are going to find them any cheaper with or without the cd-drive...most of us throw them away anyways... ;)

yes, I know about the mod, I read the how to, but I need a caddy before I can do anything, I even have a complete set of panasonic recovery cd's, for the mk3 I think. but In order to do anything with family photos and MP3's and stuff, when I want a backup copy I have to stick it on a flashdrive, then try to get my old P.O.S. HP to burn it on a cd, (if it feels like it). I would much rather use this one, and be able to make DVD's as well as read them.

If its got a cd drive in it already, fine, just dont try to sell me on that, because that is exactly what Im gonna do with it is toss it. I would actually be pleased to find a caddy with DVD burner already, but Im not getting my hopes up.
