    Hi everyone,
First post here. Just bought a CF-18 from this seller on Ebay: frcfrc888
Anyway, I want to give a big recommendation to this seller. Not only was the price good as a BIN, but it came in immaculate condition, all port covers, and with an 80GB drive in it (the Auction stated just 40GB). All it was missing is the pen for touchscreen (not digitizer) which I would like to buy if possible.

Edit: Just bought a Gig of RAM, so I am OK in this area.

Lastly, would be interested in a Dock for it, if anyone has one they might sell.
BTW, I have Ubuntu 8.04 running rock solidly on it. Everything got recognized in installation with the exception of the usual culprits: Tablet buttons, and Touch Screen. has anyone suceeded in getting those functional under Linux?
Please reply here, or send me an email neill1234 (AT) yahoo (DOT) com
    Many thanks

If you could search a bet on the main forum you will find out what is the alternative way to increase your ram. Readddddd......and searchhhhh.......Don't be lazy :D

Anyway, you can install PC2700, 200pin, DDR ram which is backward compatible to your unit. Good Luck.

Thanks. I did search, I am not at all lazy, and it is by no means clear exactly what the specs are for this exact model. You seem to be bordering on rude, though you may be just assuming too much too fast.
Even the Panasonic details seem to be out of date, and different people have different ideas about what RAM works properly, so how........rant off ;-)

ops...take cover and hide..no..sorry! man, I mean no harm :)

Your right the service manual is outdated. So far, as of to date finding 1gig of pc2100 is hard as finding a good job. As I mentioned above you can install that type of ram to your unit without any problem at all.

Btw, welcome to the forum and I hope you will not be affected by the desease goin on here. :D
