I can wait until Saturday. ;-)

If you have a serial port door also I would be interested.
    Thanks

Sorry late getting back to you but we have been getting hit by snow and rain and it's a mess here. I thought I had one but it was a battery door and I only have the VGA port cover which I think is the same as the com cover.

When I seen the prices I thought "My god, what did I buy. A money pit?" I can not see paying that much for a door. I will tape that puppy closed first. Although I would like to find a SD card reader to put in there.

The overseas sellers are nuts......I got mine for just under $20.00 .

The smart thing to do is buy it complete.......many see the cheap price for a fixer upper but when you start buying port covers, caddy,HDD and doors you are spending a lot more for one.

I hear what your saying toughasnails but when you are a newbie then you learn from experience.

When I purchased the CF-18 I had "no" experience with Toughbooks just wanted a notebook type I could mount in my 4x4 to track off road trails for the Tonto National Forest I volunteered with here in Arizona. "After" I bought the TB "then" I found this site.

All in all the purchase was not bad. The TB was fully functional, everything works and only the PCMCIA door is missing. There is one of the ports that is blocked off (serial port) that I would not mind replacing the block as soon as I figure out what is used there. I want this thing sealed up because in the Arizona desert it gets pretty dusty in the vehicle.

I can not believe they want that much for a door. It just bothers me when people inflate their prices.

    Hey Tony...if it's a Digitizer there isn't a Serial Port...only a Touchscreen 18 has those.

I realize that, thanks Almstprfct1. The "block" that goes into that port is not seated and buggered up. I need another block plug to go in there to help seal it up. I have not seen any block plugs (not sure what they are called but they "block" the port and "plug" it up) so I figured a door would seal it.
