WTB: A U.Fl/I-PEX connection with approximately 14" of attached coax. Coax preference is RG174/RG316, but will take RG178 if a good quality TFE coax. Don't care it is is attached to old internal Wifi antenna set, just need the coax with connector attached as I will be utilizing the coax and connector only and don't want to wait for getting it from China. Thanks and Merry Christmas from Southeast Texas... :)

Also, anyone have experiance with replacing U.Fl/I-PEX connector on a RG178 coax or can tell me where to get it commercially done?

I have soldered a lot of different types of connectors but I think all U.FL types are machine fabricated. When I need a U.FL to (enter connector type here) I usually use a new wifi antenna and just cut off the antenna.... That leaves me with a 27" or so cable with a U.FL connector on one end. To find one with RG-174 or better you'll need to look long and hard as I have seen few of them.

Yea, I have spent hours looking online and don't seem to have an issue finding something to use, but it comes from China. When trying to locate a antenna where I can cut off the antenna and use the coax, I can;t seem to locate the length of coax. Any recommendations?
