This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    would rather buy from a forum member than chance it on ebay. havn't found any oem battery sources or even a reliable guide to buying batteries on the forum yet. Thanks

    Are you wanting a CD caddy w/drive or just the drive? I know you mean caddy but have to ask. I can do this.

    Couple cycles and I'll have a battery figured out. On the batteries...I run them all the way up and down for a couple of days (twice a day). Then I run "acpi" iin Ubuntu terminal...command line. What you see is what you get...no guarantees. They were used when I got them. :D Sample...Interesting Fellows battery, below.

    Xp shows larger numbers for that battery, btw. WHO CARES, I get about 3 or 4 hours of runtime on my 29, with that battery.
