I'll help you out, but tell me what is the cheapest way to ship to you from Chicago, IL?

    Is $10 fair?

    Thanks

Hello Rob. $10.00 sounds perfect. Do you have two at this price? As to mailing
from Chicago; padded envelope (the one for CD disks) is the best way. Cost of envelope and postage will be about $6.00. (same for two chips) Please PM me with your PayPal email. Chicago is a nice place to visit in spring or fall, not
in the summer or winter. Today in Vancouver is hot 75F :) Chicago? 105F?
I spend 6 months in Chicago in 1972. Now I visit once a year. I have sister in
Glenview IL. Thank you, regards, Voytek.

The IBM might not work in the CF-28. IIRC it's a density issue. The ram posted by Springfield "looks" right relative to the size and orientation of the chips. The CF-28 is VERY fussy and back in the day a lot of "name brand" ram would flat not work in them. At least Springfield has verified that they work.

Hello. I contacted the seller of the RAM sugested by Springfield. He will sell it to me, however without any warranty and he will not take it back if it don't work for me. Seller stated, that max. RAM CF-28 1GHz will take in expansion slot is 256MB. You and I, we know that thi is not the case. I know that Kingston brand will work. Regards, Voytek.

The Kingston value ram will indeed work. You should find a thread from 3-4 years ago using Azrial's search tool where many different brands were confirmed to work or not work.

^ I have no idea what you're on about, mate. But if you have 512mb onboard all you need is one 512mb sdram module and youre good to go. The ram module is underneith the battery. And there is only room for one.

The most common combination is 256mb onboard + SDRAM module. In my case, 256mb OB + 512mb. The onboard ram cannot be upgraded, its soldered to the motherboard.

EDIT: Bollocks, of course its motherboard, not logicboard. Long term exposure to Macs are bad for your health....
