Wanted 12" screen for cf-28 (600 model)

I'm looking for a 12" screen for a cf-28 that has the 600 pent 3. It doesn't matter if its a touch screen or not. Mine did come with a touch screen though. Also a cd drive with or without caddy. I'm in NY state USA.

12" or 13.3" either one.

 

not one person has one of these. I heard some people have 2 dozen. 1 is listed on ebay and its not the right one for me. I'm on the phone with panasonic and I bet they don't even know what is the right 0ne. They didn't even know the part number for the inverter. $662 for a new screen. Way to screw people over. Why would a screen from 5 years ago in tech be that much.

Yeah, Grav's right (as usual) - When you consider that this specialty product listed for around $5000 new, $700 for a new LCD is really not that big a chunk of the pricetag...

I suggest you drop back & punt... look for a parts Mk1, or look for a 13" screen if you cannot find a 12"... I own a Mk1 with 12" transflective screen; and the improvement in daylight viewability certainly is not enough to make me desire it over the 13" screen...

I was just getting so mad because every time I contacted someone with a screen they would say they had a 12" screen and when I found out it was a 13.3 I was so bummed. I am not the most skilled guy(yet) with these laptops and wanted to ease in slow with out having to do any custom fitting. TB said if I had a screen from another model(800 or 1 g) I would have to do some tweaking to the wires. nothing major but my first choice was to get a correct screen. I would take a 13.3" screen if it will work. As long as it will work with my 600 series I would take it. Touch screen or not is fine.

 

hi, i have recently purchased an auction lot of 8 CF-28's, they are due to arrive soon, some i will be keeping and others i will be parting out, some of them are 12"screen and some are 13.3", if anyone wants anything specific send me a message, no power adapters or hard drive caddys are available.

 

I think I have a 12" LCD assembly ,complete, off a MK-1 that I could let go for a reasonable price. I just have to put it on a machine to be sure it's ok. It looks perfect, never used without a screen protector. PM me if you're interested.

 

Now everyone has screens. Good news since I am picking up a few ebay deals that will need parts. I just have to wait to see if I wln the auction in a day or two.
