Well, I received it today. I removed it from is sled and connected it to the factory connector in the 19 - nothing. BIOS does not see it under 'Advanced". Dammit. I double checked the connections - contacts are facing up. I'm on BIOS Ver.1.00L14.

EDIT: OK, I see the pinout is different between the two. When I am more awake, I'll try to cross-over the 18's cable. Gee, that will be fun...

If you look at the cable, the contacts are on opposite sides (one side faces up, the other down).

Are you saying I need to flip the cable so that the contacts are facing down for the 19's connector?

No! You need to change the cable with a contact end open at the same side of the cable or you could cut the other end and scrape it at one side. This was only done with proper care or you may use soldering iron in low heat just to scrape the plastic insulation and then reattach the blue plastic piece.

    Hallo Everybody,
May I join to You in this Thread with my quests, because my problems are similar?
Well, I have 2 xCF-18 1.1 (used) and try to add inside GPS.
I bought from Ebay 2 Used GPS modulus with antenas for CF 18.
    And the problems began.
They fit inside good end easy. I enable the GPS from BIOS.
With firstone, when I start WinFast or Garmin there is not conection. With Winfas I hawe Data-stream on top right window, but no satellites.
I exchanged with the secondone and the situation was even worst. When I start the laptop it is like mad, open and mouwing icons, the mouse is not active and so on.
May be I do somethin wrong or don't do something to adjust the com ports or...? Or GPSs are f-d :( How to understand!?
In same time I have a USB GPS which works just fine and is much cheaper :(

Let you know. I fixed my problem.
It was about the GPS driver.
First I downloaded them together with MK-2 pack, from toughbook-central. But this GPS driver doesn't install for me.
Now I downloaded another driver from Panasonic site. It installs easy and GPS began work in few minutes.

    Hey all,

This *did not* work as the cable needs to be modded. I sold it.
