This looks to be a S13 with a 14" display. No more massive bezels.

That being said, the battery is 36Whr!?

 

Yeah, looks very sleek and I like the screen but the battery is a show stopper IMHO for a thin and light. It's not bad considering the size of the laptop but I would've hoped for more

 

WOW more ports in thin and light PC.

I use SD cards often.

 

In some ways, it's ~33% less volume than my old Vaio S13 for only ~25% less battery capacity. At first, it's not a horrible tradeoff, given the better power management characteristics of newer CPUs. Of course, the older Vaio had a 35W CPU, factory overclocked Nvidia dGPU, a bluray drive, and the means to cool it all (two all copper heatpipes, all copper heatsink, and one very overworked fan; able to maintain higher boost clocks than the Dell E5450 that I bought to replace it, and through those higher boost clocks, the old 22nm Ivy Bridge CPU was able to out-muscle the 14nm Broadwell CPU)...

It lacks only 1 UCB-C port and .7" of diagonal screenspace (Sony loved their large bezels). Against last year's 13.3" model, it would lack absolutely nothing at all, IMO.

It appears Lenovo is able to cram more battery capacity into their similarly sized laptops (50-57Whr). Even Dell can do it.

 

Anyone got one yet? This is the THE ultrabook on the market to get if you want ports. Dang does it have a lot of them. The fact that they fit this into a 2.3lb chassis is amazing. I'm a habitual ThinkPad user, but I think the Vaio is potentially even better for business users than ThinkPad, Latitude and Elitebooks if only because those notebooks have become more 'consumerized' with the thin bezels and moving to mostly USBC ports. People that want their full size ports including a freakin VGA port in 2019 .. the Vaio is the only choice

 

VAIO engineers say that narrower bezels would mean moving the antenna from above to below the screen, where it could lose up to 10% performance in meeting rooms with weak signals, and they didn't want to make that tradeoff.

 

Well, and the Dell Latitude 5000 series (VGA, Ethernet, very fast SD card reader, etc). In those, you can get almost twice the battery capacity, dGPU, and more customization. It's not all roses, but there are still those stuck with a desire for VGA (even in state government work, those are finally disappearing in favor of HDMI screens/projectors and the occasional Displayport odd-duck).
