    Hello,

Recently, I installed a brand new Vista on my Vaio FZ38M. One of the reason was that this laptop is sold with Vista Home edition: since I got a licensed Ultimate edition, I just installed it from scratch.

Problem: fn+F5 (Brightness UP), fn+F6 (Brightness down) are not working.
==> Please, not that I install "Sony Shared Library 4.1" and "VAIO Event Service 3.3" to get my hotkeys working (volume up, volume down) and curiously, fn+F2 (sound mute) is working...

I've been googling for hours and hours and i'm always redirected to threads about the same pb but on XP, which is not my case since i'm on Vista Ultimate.

I'm sure that someone on this forum knows the issue i'm facing.

    Regards,
    Ben

The issue is most likely with the video driver. What was your source for the video driver you installed? You should use the one on the DVD recovery set.
