    Hi all
I have a Vaio SZ43GN-B 3 years old. Yesterday, the fan was so noisy, after read some suggestion in forum, I opened the case and did some cleaning inside. After assembly the case, the fan is silent but the sound has gone. The speaker icon on the right conner says "no audio output device is installed" and it has a red (x).I did try to update driver, fully system recovery, everything work great but still can't get the sound back. Did I damaged the sound card by assembly the case or did I made something wrong ? How to check if my sound card is broken? Please help me, I just want the sound back

    Check your device manager :)

Control Panel > Device manager > Sound, video & game controllers

Could have disable the device by accident? Try enabling if not check to see if the drivers are loaded

    hope that helps
