There is a thread with this stuff. Use the search box and find it rather than asking folks to spell it out all over again.

For starters, my signature line below links to a thread on how to do a clean install on an FZ machine. It spells out all of the applications and drivers installed on an FZ machine and which ones you need.

As for services there are MANY threads on this topic. Search will help you uncover them.

I'm not sure the search function works for new posters; there have been a few forums issues lately. This thread may help if you're not quite up to a clean install.

    Or just as an idea.
You could list all your software so people can read trough it.
Then its easy to say what you don't need.
For example, get rid of the trials.
I recommend Kaspresky antivirus, but use any you like.

    Thanks.

I'll make a list of the vaio applications.. i have deleted some of them, but there are some others i don't know what to do, because some time ago i have deleted some of them and i couldn' use some function keys from de keyboard like the S1 key, or the function keys like brightness.

I'll make a list when i get home.

    thanks again

I have another question from a friend of mine.

He's got an FZ250fe, and he never could start the laptop using de Instant Mode.

The InstantMode works with the Windows Vista, but he never could start the PC with it.

Somebody told him that it was a problem between the InstantMode and the video board (8400M-GT), bue he could solved it yet.

Does anybody knows whats the problem about it¿?

    Thanks again :)

First, don't hijack a thread about one topic to ask a question about something unrelated, even if it is your own thread. It makes it more difficult for other folks latter to find info they may be looking for.

Now to your answer. In the small print on a document that came with the machine Sony states that on early FZ models the instant on feature did not work with the Nvidia video chips or BlueRay drives. No fix was ever offered. Subsequent FZ models did have a fix however. Which is sort of odd, since the Nvidia chip and the BlueRay drives are identical on the old and new models. ...sigh...
