    Hi everyone,

I'm planning to get a new Vaio. Probably SB or SA, not sure.
In the Vaio Webstore from the Netherlands, there's an option to change your keyboard, but if you do that, they will change the software language too (I guess Windows etc.)

I want a French/Belgian keyboard but with English Windows on it.
So if I order that, I will get French Windows. Well, that's what Sony Netherlands is telling me.

I remember when I bought my Vaio FW11M, I got an option to choose my Windows language at its first installation (or boot)
Now I'm wondering if the new Vaio's still have that option.

If they do, then I am able to order a French Vaio, but change the Windows language and Vaio softwares to English, right?

I hope someone can help me :)

    Hi,

this won`t be an answer to your question, but I was wondering how you will get the SA from the Netherlands to Belgium? I have the same problem... the website doesn`t ship to belgium...

I've mailed them and they said it could be delivered to Belgium with no additional costs. I hate you can't configure vaio's in Belgium, although Sony's Benelux Office is in Brussels ...

If you get W7 Pro or Ultimate, you will be able to switch between language versions.

Home Premium doesn't have that option.

I'm not sure, but I've filled in a form on their support page. Can't find it back, but it wasn't easy to find.

I thought it was Ultimate only, but there's no more value for me and it's quite lame you can't adjust system language ... (without having ultimate version)

It doesn`t work for me :( not at my PC, nor my GF PC nor my Work PC...
After googleing they say it could be that the JAVA App is blocking my IPs...
I`m currently living in Poland so maybe the belgium/Netherlands SOny is not alllowed to be contacted form Poland???

    About your original request:
After Googling it seems that windows keys work cross language. And in the first post of the owners tread there are instructions on how to do a clean install. So Maybe that could be a way to go for you? clean install the windows language version you want. Don`t know if that would also install the vaio care in your preferred language

That's weird :-/ I don't know if they would block anything from outside benelux.
I know you can do a clean install and install every Vaio software back, but I don't want to spend my time on these things :p
I already did that on my Vaio FW and it's taking too much time, imo.
