I own sony vaio sz483n. A few days ago I plugged in my earphone and the one of the channels didn't work. So I thought I let it be until I have time to investigate the issue further. Just now I tried again and now both of the channel doesn't work. However I can use the built-in speaker with no problem.

What could be the problem? Is the headphone socket broken? Please gove any advice. Thanks. Btw, I run vista business SP1. I tried reinstall the driver and no result.
