Hi all folks,
I've installed windows 7 on my girl's notebook and i've got some problems:
1) this version of sony got a sensor touch bar in the top of the keyboard. It is not working (buttons ain't lightening at all..)
2) fn + brightness control is not working as well (i reinstalled all the vaio control center in the right order and all others fn keys are working)
3) nvidia drivers suggested from sony just crash every 5 minutes (the driver has stopped working and has been recovered), though the 190.38 driver that windows installed in the first installation works good.
So.. this was from a clean installation, even though I have to admit I may have messed up with drivers since there was no official windows 7 driver yet released from sony.
I've read that new bios should fix brightness issues, but the sony support gives a broken link to the new bios and i do not know where to dl it.
Any kind of help is appreciated.

already wrote my suggestion in the first post.
The notebook still have issues with brightness controls and touch sensor bar. Let me know if your installation went fine. -
I don't own a CS series, but the series before it - CR. After playing around with many reinstallations on my own laptop, I've learned that the order of how you install the Sony programs (e.g. Sony Shared Library, Firmware Parser, etc) is very important. You can't just pick and choose whichever program you want first.
Many people in the other posts have talked about the order of how to best install the programs for Windows 7, so check them out. Also, make sure you included the Sony Shared Library and Firmware Parser. They are needed to add functionality back to those special buttons on your laptop.
Good luck.
