I have a FZ180E but this could be about any FZ series I guess!
I connect it with HDMI cable with no problem to TV and have sound
with windows vista. But with XP I get only image and no sound !

Is there any solution to this problem? help would be really appreciated.

And where would you propose they find the sound drivers for a Sony VAIO FZ model running Windows XP?

Go into devise manager and find out what kind of sound control you have. If it is realtek go to the realtek site and download the latest driver for XP.

I don't know if any of you have got this working with hdmi ?

    Ok reporting back!

First this dose not install, it says this is not right driver for your computer.
I extracted the files and installed it from device manager. But this did not
help either. Device could not start with this driver. the driver I am using right now is 10.1.0.238

So is the FZ29VN, however, having just done a quick search, I don't think that model has an HDMI output.

After some more searching, I've found this.....

    - social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums

So it could be you're looking for the wrong driver.
