Hey guys I have a vpcf12jfx/b. I reinstalled Win7 64 Ult on this guy and everything works fine except I have no FN keys. I have the Vaio Event service thing installed and I know this because when I press the num/scr lock off/on it gives me a warning about it.
I can use Vol because that is natively handled by Win, but my display keys do not work.

Did you follow the order in this thread exactly? Vaios tend to be fussy with drivers.

Am I understanding you correctly that you have NO Fn keys working under the control of VAIO Event Service?
Volume - Fn + F2, F3, F4
Brightness - Fn + F5, F6
ASSIST - VAIO Care
S1 - VAIO Control Center
VAIO - Mute
At the very least, you should have installed:
VAIO Care
VAIO Control Center
Settings Utility Series (or something similarly named)
VAIO Event Service.
Sony also states that you must have Sony Shared Library and a few others, none of which I use.
The above mentioned programs should make sure that all Fn and VAIO buttons work.
(Sony F) Vaio event services installed, no FN keys still
