I know these terms apply to purchases "on all TV and Home A/V purchases of $999 or more" but some people on here reported getting their Sony VAIO computers financed at the aforementioned terms. Can anybody (recently) confirm that they were able to finance at the above terms? If so, how did you go about it?
Sony Financial Services (underwritten by GE Money Bank)
On an off topic note, does the Student Discount apply to the Sony VAIO Z? I have configured a VAIO Z at the education store but I didn't get the 10% as one would expect. Should I give them a call to get the discount?

Good idea. Except I'd hope you could pay it off before 48 months. Maybe buy a cheap TV cable and then it qualifies or something, who knows.

Since it is underwritten by GE Money Bank, I am under the assumption that they are two separate entities that I must contact (Sony & GE Money) in order to get the financing for the computer/laptop that I want.
