I'm interested in purchasing an 80gb+ 1.8" HDD to replace the small 40gb HDD in my T270P, but was wondering if there are different types of interfaces that would bring up compatibility issues.
The HDD inside is 4.2k rpm; would I be able to use a 5.2k rpm HDD? My current HDD is a Toshiba MK4004GAH; DMA/ATA-100 (ultra)

There are two types of 1.8" IDE hard drive interfaces, ZIF and IDE. You'll need to confirm your connection type, which you can do by looking up the model hard drive you have now.
