I would like to buy a vaio, but i can't find the right. I'm lookink for 14"-16" display with resolution over 1600x900, ssd drive and new intel ( i3-i5-i7). Would be somethink available on these specs? I' m looking for that specs overs 6 months and hoped that somethink would announced on ces.
I desided to cancel the dell xps 16 for heating issues, and waiting the hp envy 14.

In the Sony Vaio series, you will need to be looking for the F-series (16.4" screen and 1920x1080 Full-HD screen).

The F-series I just ordered (you can custom order the features via the CTO option on Sonystyle) is coming with the Full-HD screen, Quad Core i7-820QM (i7-720QM is also available), Blu-ray burner (can also burn/play CDs/DVDs), Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, 500GB 7200 Hard-drive (SSD option also available, along with other harddrive capacities/speeds), 8GB DDR4-1333 RAM....etc.

    thanks for the reply
I looked the f, but is to big and heavy for me. If new z would be over 13,6" it would be perfect for me. Bz would not be refreshed or somethink similar announced?

There is no Sony laptop that would meet your requirement. The closest one is Sony F or FW series with 16.4" at 1920x1080. My FW is quite light for its size. Slightly bigger than 15.4" notebooks from other brands but with equal weight.

Does anyone know if CW display could be upgrated for higher resolution otion?
Is there an option on other brand, like envy 14?
Will Sony announce any other model, exept F and Z or will any current model updated?
    thanks again

I don't think you can upgrade to higher resolution or swap the screen and if I were you, I wouldn't take the risk. If higher resolution below 16" is a must, get Alienware.

In Europe, the CW has a option for a higher resolution display.

I don't like alienware, to heavy and ugly for me.

I'll check the cw, but there is not a ssd option.

If it is does not work for you enter through the Vaio home UK link
At least this makes up a little for Sony pulling the higher end 230M card in this laptop. I think they made a mistake doing that. 330M should at least be an option.
If you don't need a card in that calibre it is a good option to go for.
It is easy to upgrade the HD yourself with this model so don't worry too much about that. You have more choice about the SSD you can go for.

They aren't pulling it. Someone found a link to drivers for the 330m on a CW support page.
