    does it worth to buy (price, speed) a 2.4ghs processor?? cause is a big difference in price between a 2.0 and a 2.4 ($450), is that big the speed between them??

    for every 0.2 ghz increase in speed, you'll probably realistically expect around a 5-10% increase in performance, i think 2.2 is probably a safe bet.

    I'd say stay at 2.0GHz. Most applications are NOT going to benefit from the extra power, and even if they do the bump is not worth the price. You'll get more benefit from extra RAM, a better GPU, or a better hard drive.

    I do not think that the extra 0.4GHz is worth $450.

    i think ill stick with the 2.0, with $450 i can get some nice 5.1 speakers
