Only a few things:
Sony sold off VAIO a few years ago, VAIO corp are now a standalone company with a tiny fraction of the resources they used to have access to.
The CPUs are Kaby Lake R (any of the Coffee Lakes, h or U, would have been impressive).
All of the Sony-speak on their cooling system only amounts to "performs like other decent ultrabooks (XPS13, Thinkpad X1C6)"
It has no USB-c/TB3 ports whatsoever. Every port is largely a legacy port (including the HDMI, which is 1.4 and not capable of 4k60p).
It's a backwards-looking device. If anyone wants legacy ports, the Thinkpad X1C6 or the T480s would be better options, IMO. I think it's aimed at the few, remaining Vaio hardcore in Japan.RMSMajestic and galaxyge like this. -

My Vaio Canvas remains broken in the drawer. Maybe I'll fix it myself one day. -

It was a complete waste of $1k for me. Meanwhile, my VPZ1 is working like charm with a single thermal replacement and occasional fan cleaning.RMSMajestic, galaxyge and jeremyshaw like this.
