I have a FW510F/B with the ATI 4650 video. At home I attach a larger monitor to the HDMI port using a DVI to HDMI adapter. The setup works well. I can even play my games on that monitor.

The only problem I have is that if the Sony turns off the displays, instead of using a screen saver, when I go to use it again the laptop display will turn on but the attached monitor does not. It status tells me there is no signal. The only ways to get it working is:
    - unplug/plug the monitor from the HDMI port
    - Win-P and turn off extending the display, then turn it back on again.
    - reboot

Logging off/on doesn't help. I've tried both the latest (and only) video driver from Sony as well as the latest from Mobility Radeon update from strags.com.

Anyone else have this problem or can provide suggestions on how to fix it?
