Hi all. I dropped my f series recently quite badly which resulted in cracked screen and fan malfunction. I got it repaired, but now fan is always on full speed instead of adjusting automatically to the min-max performance... Now whenever i run 3d demanding app i get a reading of 90-95c+(on full load) and before it used to be 75-78c max, although it idles at 40-50c right now. CPU temps are fine and pretty much what they were before if not lower.
Do you think it has something to do with the way those people installed the new fan? or there might be an internal damage in my 330m gfx chip?

    Please halp! Thx in advance

PS. do the 330m cards have their own fan? or is everything cooled by 1 fan in the f-series(16.4 core i-7, 6gb, 500gb)

sounds to me like maybe the heatsink wasn't reinstalled properly.

Send back to repair and tell them to reseat the heatsink since your GPU should not be overheating with proper contact.

Will do.., but is there a separate fan for the actual gfx card? or is there just one fan that is responsible for cooling all the components in this laptop?

    Thx for replies
