That is an extremely good deal.
It depends on if the money saved is worth losing the higher resolution screen. If I am to buy a Z, I would really want the 1600x900 screen but for the price of this particular Z, I'd have to choose this instead.

It seems too good to be true, since its price is lower than even the lower end Z520 and Z530 models sold alongside it on Amazon. Its price was discounted $300 off but another $100 has been taken off it!?
I hope there is nothing fishy with it like build quality defects, stuck/dead pixels, etc.

If that was 1600X900 resolution, I'd be all over it....

Great deal indeed. I don't think it will last but more deals will pop up I think...

i think it depends on how long you intend on keeping the laptop, sometimes, its worth spending that extra much so that you wont regret it later

The 'better' graphics card isn't really better in my opinion. It won't make much difference.

You'll have to decide if you really want the high resolution. 1600*900 is a lot for a 13.1" screen and for many people it will be too much.

Yeah, what people need to remember about the "better" graphics card is that it's only better because of the additional 128 megs of ram. The other side of that, however, is that running a game or anything else graphics intensive at 1600x900 is more taxing on the graphics card than running it at the lower resolution. Although I don't have numbers to back this up - my intuition is that the additional 128 megs of ram doesn't come anywhere near matching the additional overhead required of the higher resolution - and thus graphical performance would probably be better on the lower resolution model.

I am with you, holding out for the new TZ and compare it to the Z and make the best choice. BTW, I returned my TZ (U7700 @1.3GHz).

I got $100 off my Z590 over sony style phone order for complaining that the $300 off purchase with ADH and 2 accesories had ended. It's worth noting I didn't get the ADH and only bought one accessory.

Yup... I ordered a Z520 from Amazon on Monday for $1629 and now it is at $1999 and it also says "This item has not yet been released" - even though my Z520 has already shipped!

I think amazon screwed up their pricing. Their mistake is my gain :)

    WOOT :)

I have a Z590 with the higher resolution - I can tell you that the resolution and color reproduction is absolutely awesome with the higher resolution.

I have the higher as well and have also seen the lower resolution. Both are equally bright, sharp, and saturated. The only difference is resolution or, if you will, "real estate".
