Is it possible to change the wireless card in the new FW series, can't seem to find anything on these laptops, not even how to change the hard drive.

I normally mess around with desktops but this is my first laptop. I am hoping I can put a better wirless card in the damn thing.

    Getting frustrated now.

I have not come across a laptop made in the last four years where you could not upgrade the wifi card.
It is a matter of determining what type of wifi card is in your model, whether it is half sized or full sized. You also need to buy another antenna.

Looking at this picture below it looks half sized but you might want to confirm that in the owners thread.

    Thats for the link.

I have posted on the owners thread but no replys, it seems quite slow. I don't want to attept it if there is no way of doing it.

I think it would be good if the owners threads were broken up into parts, say every 100 replies you get a new part 1, part 2, part 3.

This is what is done on AV forums for owner threads, it makes life easier.

mike9876, i will put what you suggested to the other mods and admin.

In trying to to identify what type of card you have installed. Can you look in your device manager under properties->details and then look under driver node strong name and post what it says.
May be this will let us know what type of card you have installed.
