Should I get the 6-cell or the 9-cell battery when I order my new SR? I read that the larger battery places the computer at a funny angle. Does anyone have any thoughts on what to do?

well I wouldn't say funny, more like different :). It takes some time getting used to this "funny" angle, but some like it (hot) :).
Anyhow, what you shoud also consider is that extra battery will overweight you laptop for additional 250-300g, not a big deal, but just for you to know. But do you really need extra battery? I mean, does 4-5 hours with standard sound lame to you? That's what you need to consider.

I love the extended battery. 7 hours of Life (On VAIO Max. w/ brightness up 2 notches). And also 3+ on w/o any power savings. :D

I have the 6 cell right now...What does it cost to just buy the 9 cell from Sony?

EDIT: I had the Dual-Capacity battery on my old Vaio S series and it stuck out a little bit but it set the laptop up at a nice angle for typing. So I'm not worried about that.

im planning on returning my Z and getting a SR.. thinking about the same thing.. does the battery have some kind of rubber so it will help to prevent slipping/
