I just read somewhere in this forum that all of the current Sony Vaio's do NOT support 64bit windows because Sony hasn't made any 64bit drivers.
Is this true?
I planned on getting the new Z series with 4GB of ram, but its pretty pointless if I'm unable to do a clean install of 64bit windows to take advantage of all that ram!!

You can always look for the drivers elsewhere... if you post your EXACT hardware here you will get a pretty quick answer i believe.
Most likely it'll be possible to do it. -
I am using TZ with Vista Ult x64. Only the motion eye not working.
You can get the x64 drivers from

dang =/
I know I rarely use the webcam that was on my last laptop, but it just puts a peace of mind knowing everything is installed correctly if you know what I mean...having the motion eye not working would bug me...LOL -
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-AR520E. I wanted to Buy Windows Vista 64 bit but Sony said they don't support 64 bit.
I have a Core 2 Duo with a 32bit system and would like to get more RAM since my job requires multiple heavy load programs.
Any drivers? proven to work yet?
Oh, and I don't need my camera. What if someone is watching me??? lol.
