Any idea why the memory is only clocked at 700? Normally it should be 900 I don't understand? it's the same as my dell m1210 but the ram clock is slower and if i try to overclock it... It crashes and burns.

perhaps the vaio can't handle the heat from overclocks as well as the m1210. Besides, the same graphics cards in different notebooks often are clocked differently. try using Coolbits and test overclocks to find its max potential.

If it's using Turbocache, the SZ's system memory is clocked slower (PC4200 at 533MHz) than the M1210s (PC5300 at 667MHz), so I'm willing to bet that that's why the memory clock shows up slightly different.

Which driver do you guys use for sz4 or sz5? The original Sony driver (7.15.10.9735) is terrible. Got only around 500 in 3D Mark 05. The integrated Intel card performs much better. Any ideas?

I never tried benching my SZ150 but currently I use 84.56 drivers. Its a modded desktop driver that works fine for me when I play games.
As for the video card memory clock speed, its probably clocked slower due to minimize the heat generated. I'd guess that the video cooling solutions for the Dell vs SZ are different. With that in mind, manufacturers will clock things slower to minimize the heat generated.
7400GO on sz series.
