Ok, so on SonyStyle, they say 8GB option is coming soon. Does that mean that they'll offer 8GB at build, or does that mean the system will be able to support 8GB? I wanna buy one NOW, but I'd like to dump 8GB of RAM into it! if it can't support 8GB, yet, I'll suck it up and wait a bit longer.

Can someone confirm or deny whether 8GB is gonna work on the new FW2xx series? I guess I can find out the expensive way by buying the laptop and the RAM and see if it works.

Sony just don't have the ram sticks yet.. that's why it's not avaliable on the web site right now..

Sweet, thanks for the confirm. Looks like Best Buy is gonna get 2k richer, and me, 2k poorer. lol Gonna add the RAM and replace the slow *** 5400RPM drive with a speedier 7200. I guess I'll shove that 5400 in my PS3. If only they offered eSATA port and matte. Ah well, I have accepted that I can't always have my cake and eat it, too. :-D
