Anyone attempt an XP SP2 install on their A Series? I attempted one on my HP TC1100 and am in the process of doing an uninstall due to wireless networking issues. Makes me a little nervous to accept Microsoft's gift when it arrives in my A170P Automatic Update bin. I could use some reassurance!

I installed it on my A170 with no problems at all. There are some updates on the support website, I upgraded the BIOS before installing SP2.

    axelhi,

Thanks for the response. I experienced a few things on my HP TC1100 and was wondering if the same issues were seen on the A Series computers after the upgrade. The brand-specific Help and Support Center changed to a generic Microsoft screen with an apparent missing icon representd by a red "X" in the upper left corner, the wireless connection appears to be slower and when I try to "repair" I receive a blue screen and reboot, and lastly when I attempt to take the computer out of standby , the screen goes blank necessitating a reboot. In addition to these, have you noticed anything that isn't the way it should be following the upgrade?

    MWSony,

No, I still haven't discovered a single problem. The new firewall didn't try to enable itself because Windows recognized ZoneAlarm automatically. The installation went flawlessly, no incompatibilities, no crashes afterwards. The help center still has the Sony logo, but I haven't used the wireless connection yet. Standby works fine as well.

    Good luck!
