I know I've heard speculation here and there, but does somebody in the know actually know the truth behind these rumors? My suspicions were confirmed when I visited the 2 local Sony Style stores, and I noticed that the A series was pulled from both stores while all the other series were present. Will the BX series cover for the A series if it's discontinued, or is there perhaps something brand new coming up?

Since you're the Sony expert around these forums (not being sarcastic), quite honestly, I really have nothing more worthwhile to say... or at least anything that'll add more to this thread. However, having said that, simple logic plays a major part here. With the high specs and top multimedia features of the new BX series, I really don't see a reason why Sony would release anything new for the A series. Yes, design-wise the BX series might look like a major step back from the A series, but just think. Releasing to models that shares the same specs/user category just doesn't make any sense.

Looks like it. The A-series never really took off, and Sony had to release the FS so quickly after the introduction of A.
