    Where would the SZ series be manufactured? In Japan (like all Sony cameras and the tx series are made) or in Mexico or Malaysia or China? (If its the latter issues of quality come in)

    Someone should confirm this, but the higher end VAIO models are made in Japan, whereas those that uses alot of plastic (low-end) are made in China.

    As far as I know, the current models that are made in China are the FS and FJ series.

    i just went across to my local sonystyle store..tx is made in Japan. while the celeron processor based ones are made in malaysia and china..they didnt have the S series on display

    perhaps the moderators who saw it at CES would know?
