I am currently using an FW490 Win7 x64 and have previoulsy used an FW290 Vista x64.
In both notebooks I have randomly had BSOD 0x00000044 when I closed the notebook's lid and wanted the notebook to enter sleep status.
Only recently I started to find some clues that related the crashes to NIS (2009 before, 2010 currently) and Vaio's power settings. Look at this different links : if WinPatrol is incompatible with NIS, is there an... - Norton Community (dont worry about the title, read the posts on page 3) and BSOD occuring when waking up from sleep mode - NIS... - Norton Community and this same forum link http://forum.notebookreview.com/sony/432938-vaio-z-hibernation-sleep-causes-computer-crash.html
Has anyone had a similar experience ? Any insight that might help on this issue ?
