Today while using my T series notebook, i noticed a really small line of black about a millimeter high and half that wide. its located on the taskbar, just to the left of the notification area. i tried wiping it of, but when it didn't leave I immeaditly though it could be a dead pixel, its really weird though, it sort of loks smudged at both ends and when i put my cursor over it, it looks really strange, sort of like a 3d effect, where it looks like its actually behing the screen. although these may be the signs of a dead pixel(s) I have never seen one, could anyone be knid enough to shed some light on my situation, thanks

A dead pixel is a single pixel. If you see a line, that's something worse, like a cluster of dead pixels, though it's a little odd for them to be in a line. There's an outside chance that it's a driver problem, but I'm inclined to think you have a screen defect.

This is possible, or it could have just been a driver blip.
