Hey guys, I've been looking at the new S270 and I have a few questions that maybe other S owners could answer.

    1. Is there much of a glare problem with the Xbrite screen day to day? (I have seen the screen in stores but since I haven't been able to see an Xbrite in the field so I dunno)

    2. How durable are those covers for the USB ports and Ethernet connectors.

    3. Are the notebook hinges sturdy? (It doesn't seem to have a latch so I assume that it must be pretty strong to keep it closed without)

    4. Can you get about 4 hours of battery life with the standard battery doing things like word processing and surfing the net?

    Any insight would be appreciated.

    1. Using it outside is where the glare can be a problem but that goes with any ntebook. Other than that the image quality way makes up for any glare that may be there.

    2. I was concerned about the covers at first but they seem to be fine, snap in and off easy and they don't feel like the will fall off.

    3. They seem to be fine, I was concerend about the lack of a latch but I really like it now.

    4. I havn't done a true test yet nor have I had a chance to play with the power settings, I'll let you know when I have and post them in the S260 User thread.
