I did a clean install and installed all the drivers, I also did a few registry tweaks so less crap runs...

    1) Sleep. Whenever I sleep my machine it gets stuck and I have to turn it off and reboot it. I have no idea if I had this problem or not before the clean install and registry tweaks..

    2) I notice that the battery level goes down rather fast even when the machine is sleeping or shutdown.. is there a fix for this?

Any other tweaks that I should know about? Any tricks for the CW?

For Question 2, battery drainage while Sonys are sleeping and even while shut down is common. There is a side argument whether this is Sonys issue or an issue that comes with Windows 7. Either way, it's "normal" for Sony and no fix exists. Try hibernating instead of sleeping.

Ohh so there's no fix... I can actually live with this because I'll be able to plug this machine when I seriously need to use it.. otherwise my plugless usage won't be for longer than 1-2 hours.

Whats the difference between hibernation and sleep?

I actually just tried selecting sleep in the shutdown menu and I could wake it up.. this is weird...

Same with the hibernation, which takes longer to boot up.. but it does work.. now I wondering what this sleep problem is..

I just tried sleeping or hibernating with the closing lid option or press power button option and it still works..

Looks like I don't have a problem waking up from sleep... I wonder what the problem I ran into was.. because I couldn't wake the machine at all.

edit: maybe it was the "sleep after X minute" option.
