After looking around for a great portable laptop I have decided to purchase either a Vaio sz150 or sz160. I can purchase the sz160 at my local Sony Style store but I would have to pay tax, the upside is I was told if there were any bad or stuck pixels on the display they would give me a replacement. I called Portable One today and they have the sz150 with an upgrade to 1gb of ram, can anyone confirm for me that the only difference between the sz150 (with 1gb ram) and the sz160 is the hard drive size (80gb vs 100gb).? The downside of buying on line is I was told if there are any stuck/bad pixels I would have to live with it but there is no tax. Also regarding the warranty, has anyone purchased the extended warranty with accidental coverage? I would pay with AMEX so I believe that any warranty I buy would be doubled.
One last thing is the sz150 and sz160 fully Vista capable with Vista Aero Glass? There is a new model on the Sony web site sz281P that specifies that itÂ’s Vista ready but I wonder if the sz160 is as well. That new model on the Sony site is a whopping $3,200!

If you have any dead pixels, Portableone should be happy to replace the laptop with a newer one for you. You can also tell them to check the laptop for dead pixels before they send it over. I believe the 80 and 100 gb harddrive is the only difference between the two.
Also, the SZ150 and SZ160 should be fully Vista capable because the graphics card has 128 MB. The recommended is 64 MB.
