    A list of necessary programs/processes for Vista on a VAIO?

    Is there a list of programs that come with the new VAIOs: SR, Z, FW, BZ, that are needed? It would be cool if somebody could make a list with different categories:

    Necessary

    Optional

    Waste (trials, demos, ect)

    for example.

    Look at my clean install instuctions for an FZ model. It details a lot of the things that are likely yo be common to the FW model as well. It would give you a good starting point at least.

    Also have a read of my SZ Vista guides. The Sony utils will be common to most VAIO models. I've listed the Sony utils as needed and optional.

    Good point! Comparing three or four of the clean install guides shoule help determine the Sony utils required. As Mujja said, the utils are common to most Sony models and have been for a long time. Now, just to be clear, it is not the same util executable on all models, each model has its own unique version. It is just the same TYPE of util on each model.
