    A question on Recovery Utility

    When I use recovery utility to create recovery disks, does the recovery utility use the hidden partition recovery data to create the disks, or does it do like "ghosting" drive C and its contents into the recovery disks? and if the first case is true, do recovery disks recover as well the hidden partition in case it is deleted.. sorry for the naive questions..

    They use the recovery partition, not the C: drive to create the two DVD's. If you need to use them latter, my understanding is that the restore the C: partiton. I think they do NOT restore the recovery partion. If for example you put in a new hard drive and used the DVD's to restore, you'd not have the "hidden" recovery partiton on the new drive.
