Ok just as I know what I want......I get more confused.
Can someone enlighten me by telling me.
1. Whats the differance between a " port replicator " for the GRT-360ZG, and the AV Docking Station for the A190 ?
2.Could I leave the Docking Station for the A190 at home, and buy a external USB 2 TV tuner for the A190 for the road ?
3.Will I even need the " port replicator " for the GRT-360ZG ?
Thank you in advance for any enlightenment.
Seems that more is offered, more gets unknow.

1. Port replicator serves more as a place to slide in your notebook and have it attached to a monitor, separate keyboard and mouse so you do not have to hassle with plugging in a bunch of wires every time you get back home or to the office...also essentially turns your notebook into a desktop machine. The AV docking station for the A Series offers high fidelity audio output to "special" Sony external speakers and a slew of other media devices. Not sure what all of these outputs are exactly, hopefully we'll review this unit in the coming months so I do know, but check into this as I'm sure there might be some functionality you'll just never use (for instance, I never run my laptop output to a TV screen even though I can, the VAIO A docking station will let you do this -- but do you care?)
2. Certainly!
3. No, you don't need it, it's just if you want it. And given that the GRT is a desktop replacment the screen is already big enough that you might not be bothered with wanting to have it output to another monitor and the keyboard might be big enough you don't need a separate full sized keyboard attached. -
" abaxter " Thank you for clearing the clouds from my head.
I am analytical,I try to see too much into sometime.
When I see so many different ways of doing the same time it gets questionable as to the best way to do the samething.
Now ...should I wait for the new not-too-reveiwed A190
Or just go for the proven GRT-360ZG before its discontined ?[:0]
Again thanks for the help.[8D]
A190 or GRT help?
