I'd like to run the Intel AHCI SATA driver on my Sony VAIO VGN-SZ230P laptop. The laptop has Phoenix BIOS R0083N0 which is the latest version available from Sony. But this BIOS has no setting for IDE/SATA-AHCI.

I am new to modding BIOS. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to mod the BIOS to enable AHCI?
