    Hello,

it appears that Sony doesn't want you to run the WWAN modem without battery inserted. When removing the battery the OS doesn't even recognize the WWAN module anymore.

This topic has already been scratched here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/sony/406828-vaio-z-wwan-without-battery.html
As that thread is now closed, plus it seems to be an issue about all Vaios I would like to start a new discussion. (I btw own a european Vaio TT Series Model VGN-TT11LN with Mini PCIe GTM382 AWS Modem)

    I'm wondering too!

For those of you with a hacked BIOS having an advanced menu:

Are there any settings regarding the battery or the modem?
Are there any changes in one or more of the advanced menu's "PCI Express Root Port" when the battery is removed?
