I have a Vaio SZ3 and use it also for power point based lectures. After installing the MS Presenter Mouse 8000 (quite cute, bluetooth controlled, with a laser pointer) I can use the touchpad, but all the controls have gone. I cannot re-install the ALPS-driver. Any help is welcome!

I had this problem on my Dell a few months ago when I installed the intellipoint mouse. I think I went into the mouse control panel->hardware and I forgot how but I restored the original driver for my synaptics touchpad. I just plugged the new mouse in after and it worked without requiring installation.
